The Power of Your Words

Have you ever thought about how powerful our words can be? Words are a vehicle for us to share and express our experiences with one another. Most of us don’t realize though that the words we use can easily become what we experience.

It starts with our thoughts and how we make meaning out of situations or circumstances in our lives. We can judge a situation as being right or wrong and use words to produce positive or negative outcomes. Through those thoughts we react and respond with our words.

Typically when we respond to a situation, we take action to support what we are saying. Words can be used to give life through powerful inspiration or to crush and kill through lies and judgement. If we choose to judge someone negatively for a choice, we can take action by gossiping or talking down to them. On the other hand if we choose to act with powerful encouragement, we show compassion and offer our support.

Our thoughts, words, and actions can become habitual. If we are always looking at what’s wrong or looking through narrow lensed glasses, what do you think is going to show up in your life? Not too much possibility or room for expanding.. If I am looking at life with lenses of compassion and possibility, I will speak with a different language, act with a different energy, and ask different questions.

It is a shift in your mind. So ask yourself, what language are you speaking? Are you looking for what is right or what is wrong?

Supporting You Fully,

Maggie

“Your beliefs become your thoughts,

Your thoughts become your words,

Your words become your actions,

Your actions become your habits,

Your habits become your values,

Your values become your destiny.”
